Dr Genevieve Osborne is a Consultant Dermatologist with over 20 years of experience in the field. She provides specialist dermatological care for adults and older children, treating a wide range of skin conditions — from acne, eczema, and skin cancers to complex skin diseases that may affect other organ systems. Known for her approachable manner, Dr Osborne conducts thorough assessments and offers tailored advice, along with medical or surgical treatments as appropriate.
Dr Osborne graduated in Medicine from the University of Southampton in 1992. Following hospital training in London, she became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1996. She qualified as a Dermatology Specialist in 2003 after completing a training programme at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, St Thomas’ Hospital, and King’s College Hospital, London.
Her interest in medical dermatology began during her time as a research fellow in derm-haemato-oncology at King’s College Hospital and King’s College London (2002–2003), where she studied cutaneous graft-versus-host disease in both clinical and laboratory settings.
From 2004, Dr Osborne served as an NHS Consultant Dermatologist at St Mary’s Hospital, part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London. She held roles as Lead Clinician of the Dermatology Department and Lead of the Skin Cancer Multi-disciplinary Team. Yes, but only for certain services. Some consultations, assessments, and treatments can be booked directly, while others require a GP or specialist referral. Please check the relevant service page for guidance, and contact the centre if you’re unsure.
We aim to offer appointments as quickly as possible, and many services have same-day or next-day availability. Waiting times vary depending on the appointment type, specialty, and consultant availability, but our team will always offer the earliest suitable appointment.
Yes. You can arrange an appointment for a family member, or someone you care for, just let us know when you get in touch. We’ll need their details and consent to complete the booking, unless you're their legal guardian or have power of attorney.
Your first consultation includes a detailed discussion of your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle factors, followed by a thorough examination. It’s helpful if you can bring the results of any previous investigations with you, as well as a list of your current medications. Come with a comfortably full bladder so you can provide a urine sample if requested.
