Our Story

The landscape of healthcare is changing. Patients are living busier lives and want medical care that fits around them. At Welbeck, we believe this means putting patients first, with specialist, consultant-led care delivered efficiently, comfortably and, wherever possible, without the need for an overnight hospital stay.

Welbeck London front door

Beyond better healthcare

Welbeck Health Partners was founded by a group of leading healthcare specialists from the UK and the USA who believed that better care was possible, and that a new kind of healthcare organisation was needed to deliver it. Working with expert clinicians, architects, and operational specialists, our flagship centre, Welbeck London, was created. Now London’s largest specialist centre for diagnostics, therapies, and minimally invasive surgery, it brings 21 specialist centres together under one roof, all designed around the patient journey. From first consultation and diagnostics to treatment and surgery, care is delivered seamlessly with minimal delays and maximum continuity. Our model reflects a shift towards day-case care, where patients can return home to recover on the same day. Supported by advanced technology, purpose-built facilities, and empowered leading consultants, we deliver care that goes beyond better.

The Welbeck Story

Welbeck Health Partners was founded by a group of leading healthcare managers and clinicians, shaped by 5 years of research into international day-case care models and a shared belief that healthcare in the UK could be delivered in a more effective, patient-centred way.

The lease was secured for 1 Welbeck Street, establishing the location of our flagship site, Welbeck London. Preparations began to transform a blank canvas into 9 floors of bespoke, specialist clinics.

Building work began on the Welbeck flagship facility in London.

Our first specialist clinic, Digestive Health, opened in July, followed by Heart Health in December.

A further 6 specialist centres opened, including Orthopaedics and Endocrinology, significantly expanding the range of care available under one roof.

Growth continued with the opening of our Women’s Health and Skin Health & Allergy centres, alongside the launch of our outpatient Digestive Services.

Ongoing development across the building saw the installation of London’s only 360° mole mapping machine and the launch of our Men’s Health and Health Assessment & Longevity centres.

The Welbeck model began to expand beyond London, with the development of Welbeck Oxford and Welbeck Cambridge, both designed to deliver the same high standard of specialist, day-case care.

Plans are in place for continued expansion, with multiple new sites in development across the UK and internationally. In 2026, we’ll celebrate the opening of our Oxford and Cambridge sites.

Our ongoing journey to develop excellent care

Guided by global best practice, we continue to evolve how care is delivered at Welbeck. By fostering collaboration between leading specialists and designing services around the patient journey, we’re creating centres in London and beyond that set a new standard for specialist care — simpler, more efficient, and shaped around modern lives.
