
About Hélène Menagé
Dr Menagé is a highly experienced dermatologist, qualifying from Guys’ with an intercalated BSc in Psychology. She trained at the Hammersmith and Brompton Hospitals, St Luc Brussels, Guys’ and St Thomas’ Hospitals and on the St Thomas’ medical register rotation. She completed specialist training in Dermatology at St John’s Institute, with research in Photodermatology. In 1997 she was appointed Consultant to Lewisham Hospital and St John’s Institute, Guys and St Thomas’ .
Dr Menagé has published academic papers, book chapters and clinical case reports. She has helped develop information for the public through the British Photodermatology Group and NHS Choices and has contributed to guideline publications for the British Association of Dermatologists.
Dr Menagé teaches, lectures and oversaw the integration of medical student teaching into Lewisham dermatology. She has interviewed for KCL and is a former senior examiner for the MSc in Clinical Dermatology (KCL).
Dr Menagé was a previous secretary/treasurer of the British Photodermatology Group and former Clinical Editor of Current Medical Literature Dermatology. She is a past President of the St John’s Dermatological Society and a past President of the Dermatology Section of the Royal Society of Medicine. She is a Trustee of the Royal Society of Medicine.
