Laser treatment for acne scarring helps smooth and refine the skin.

Blood and pathology tests are a vital part of detecting, diagnosing, and treating conditions.

An X-ray is a type of imaging test that uses radiation to produce images of the body.

Laser treatment for acne is an effective, non‑invasive procedure which can help reduce inflammation, target acne‑causing bacteria, and improve overall skin clarity.

CT (computed tomography) is a specialised imaging test that uses X-ray beams to create detailed cross-sectional pictures of the body.

HairMetrx scalp and strand analysis uses advanced imaging and expert clinical review to identify the causes of hair concerns.

Medications and topical treatments are often the first line of defence against breakouts.

An MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan uses a magnetic field and radio waves to take images of the inside of your body.

Microneedling helps to gradually repair acne scarring by encouraging the skin to renew itself.

At Welbeck, all imaging and diagnostics, including X-ray, MRI, and ultrasound, take place on-site. With same-day or next-day appointments often available, we ensure you receive an accurate diagnosis without delay and receive the treatment you need as quickly as possible.
Our dermatology consultants* have extensive experience diagnosing and treating skin conditions across different ages and skin types. At Welbeck, we’re committed to ensuring the referral process is smooth and efficient. We welcome referrals from GPs and other healthcare professionals and aim to offer same-day or next-day appointments where possible.

To help the specialist assess your child fully, it’s helpful to bring:
a list of your child’s current medications, including creams and antihistamines
any previous dermatology results
photos of the skin condition, if it fluctuates or only appears at certain times
details of possible triggers (foods, products, animals, environmental exposures)
a record of past reactions, flare patterns, or known allergies
a favourite toy, book, or snack to help your child feel comfortable
If your child uses specific creams or skincare products, bringing them can also be useful.
Our specialists are experienced in working with children and will ensure the appointment is child‑friendly.
A typical consultation includes:
a conversation about symptoms, triggers, and any family history
a gentle examination of the affected skin areas
discussion about your child’s skincare routine and any previous treatments
reviewing any photos or prior test results
planning further tests if needed (e.g. skin prick tests, patch tests, blood tests)
creating an individualised treatment plan
Your child can sit on your lap during the examination if it helps them feel at ease.
