About Sui Wong
Dr Sui H. Wong is a Consultant Neurologist and Neuro-Ophthalmologist practising in London.
She completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, and Neurology specialist training in the United Kingdom supplemented with training in Australia; University of California San Francisco; and National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery Queen Square. She was the first Neurologist to complete the prestigious Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital and was also awarded a Neuroscience doctorate degree (University College London) for her research on Ocular Myasthenia Gravis.
She set up award-winning multi-disciplinary specialist services for Ocular Myasthenia and Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trusts, which were recognised for innovation and excellence in patient care.
She is a keen advocate on patient-cantered care, which shapes both her clinical services, clinical research, and patient advocacy work. She is Patron for the IIH UK patient charity.
Dr Wong is an active neuroscience researcher, and is both a leader in, and active contributor to, international research collaborations. She is the Founding Vice President (Ex-Officio) of the UK Neuro-Ophthalmology Society.
She has published extensively with academic writing , including book chapters on Ocular Myasthenia; and groundbreaking research on Mindfulness and Visual Snow Syndrome (awarded the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society’s J. Lawton Smith award in 2025)
Additionally, she has the qualifications and experience to consider a broader spectrum of lifestyle-specific interventions, for longevity, brain health, and neurological conditions. She has also written health and wellbeing books for the public, as part of her public-facing health advocacy work. Come with a comfortably full bladder so you can provide a urine sample if requested.
