About Antonia De Gier

Antonia de Gier is a registered Nutritional Therapist, having qualified in 2003. She helped set up a nutrition company, tutored fellow nutrition students, and saw private clients before stepping back to raise a family. Antonia requalified in 2021 and has subsequently worked with Prof. Nick Panay for Hormone Health. This involves seeing private clients for face-to-face and virtual consultations, and working closely with fellow dietitian Nigel Denby and the clinical team of doctors and consultants.

She has written many informative nutrition articles, researched new treatment programmes, and participated in webinars.

Antonia is a qualified neurolinguistic programming practitioner. This has enabled her to support women during the perimenopause and menopause stages of life, and all the changes that this time can bring. She provides nutritional support to women alongside any medical intervention and HRT where possible.

She offers support for all symptoms of the menopause, including weight gain, mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, fluctuating gut health, autoimmune conditions such as sudden-onset food intolerances, pain in joints and muscles, sleep disturbance, hot flushes, brain fog, vaginal dryness, and energy imbalance, to name but a few. She can also help those who have undergone treatment for breast cancer.

Few women weather one of these changes with ease, let alone a group of these symptoms, and Antonia is on hand to provide a listening, non-judgemental, confidential ear. She offers a holistic solution that encompasses nutritional, behavioural, and emotional support to help women take back control of their individual health and wellbeing. This may be offered in the form of one or several consultations, working together to provide a tailor-made nutrition programme that supports realistic, long-term dietary and lifestyle changes to achieve positive, sustainable food habits.

Consultations can be offered face to face or online, and later via telephone once a programme of support has been established.

Yes. You can arrange an appointment for a family member, or someone you care for, just let us know when you get in touch. We’ll need their details and consent to complete the booking, unless you're their legal guardian or have power of attorney.

Your first consultation includes a detailed discussion of your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle factors, followed by a thorough examination. It’s helpful if you can bring the results of any previous investigations with you, as well as a list of your current medications. Come with a comfortably full bladder so you can provide a urine sample if requested.
