About R. Lloyd Williams

Mr Williams expertise is widely sought in treating dancers and sportspeople with injuries and fractures. For a number of years, he was the consultant orthopaedic surgeon to the Royal Ballet Company, English National Ballet and Central School of Ballet. Previously a keen rugby player himself, Mr Williams was also Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to Saracens RFC until 2001.

He practises minimally invasive surgery (MIS): a revolutionary procedure that can be used to treat a number of common foot conditions. He also teaches minimally invasive surgery extensively throughout the UK and Europe.

Mr R. Lloyd Williams, MB BS FRCS (Tr&Orth), is a consultant foot and ankle surgeon who, since 2004, now works in full time private practice.

He graduating from St. Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College in 1986, he became a Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons in 1990.

Having completed a six year higher surgical training programme at the Royal National Orthopaedic, Middlesex and University College Hospitals in London, he gained the FRCS(Orth) accreditation exam in 1996. He then went on to undertake visiting fellowships in Dublin and Houston, studying foot and ankle surgery.

In 1997, he was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the University College London Hospitals NHS Trust, specialising in foot and ankle disorders.

He is also a founding Partner of The London Orthopaedic Clinic (TLOC).
