About Arunmoy Chakravorty
Mr Arunmoy Chakravorty is an experienced Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon with Cosmetic Breast Surgery accreditation from The Royal College of Surgeons, UK. He is the Clinical Lead of his NHS Breast Unit in Mount Vernon and Hillingdon Hospital along with a Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer role at Imperial College, London. He has plastic surgery experience from UK and abroad including India, Germany and Austria.
His private practices are based in North London, with appointments available for consultation on every day of the week. He has particular expertise in Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery with an Oncoplastic Fellowship from The Royal Marsden Hospital, London. He offers one-stop breast clinics as well as breast cancer management to his patients with work regularly audited and published. He has a keen interest in Cosmetic breast surgery. Mr Chakravorty believes in offering high quality and compassionate patient care with support from his very well recognised team of radiologists, oncologists, pathologists and nurses. Mr Chakravorty operates under the principle of ensuring an optimum oncological clearance of breast cancer whilst maintaining the best possible cosmetic outcome. He runs a tertiary referral clinic for the management of breast cancer and complex revision breast surgery, as well as dealing with benign breast problems, breast augmentation and reduction surgery, mastopexy (breast lifts), gynecomastia surgery and breast reconstruction.
Mr Chakravorty obtained his medical qualification before becoming a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1999. He underwent specialist training in general and breast surgery at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford and Royal Marsden , Sutton before undertaking an Oncoplastic Fellowship at The Royal Marsden Hospital, London. He also visited and trained abroad in Vienna and Duseldorf, Germany and undertook a senior residency (training programme) in Plastic Surgery in a tertiary centre of Plastic Surgery, New Delhi India.
He enjoys teaching and is currently a tutor for MS Oncoplastics at East Anglia University. He is an examiner of Intercollegiate board, The Royal College of Surgeons and MS Oncoplastics. He holds the title of Honorary Adjunct International Professor by AHERF, New Delhi, India. He has been appointed as the Council Member of Aesthetic Committee, Associations of Breast Surgery, U.K
He is closely associated with teaching and training, increase the research base, to help the next generation of medical graduates and trainees, who will believe in practicing quality and evidence-based health care.
