Career Highlights:
Dr George Webster has 15 years’ experience as a consultant in one of the busiest gastroenterology centres in the UK, University College London Hospitals.

- Research highlights
He is actively involved in clinical research in various areas of gastroenterology, medicine, and advanced endoscopy, and has co-authored national and international guidelines related to primary sclerosing cholangitis, colonic stenting, ERCP practice, and gallstones. He is regularly invited to lecture on these topics in the UK, Europe and the US, and to perform live endoscopy demonstrations both nationally and internationally.
These areas of research have led to improved understanding of disease (e.g. the recognition, diagnosis and management of IgG4-related disease, and the observation that this may mimic malignancy), and in improved delivery of expert endoscopic practice nationally and internationally.
Dr Webster has published more than 70 peer-reviewed medical papers and 15 expert reviews. He is co-author of the Oxford Handbook of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and an author on endoscopy in the forthcoming 5th edition of the Oxford Textbook of Medicine.

Yes. You can arrange an appointment for a family member, or someone you care for, just let us know when you get in touch. We’ll need their details and consent to complete the booking, unless you're their legal guardian or have power of attorney.
Your first consultation includes a detailed discussion of your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle factors, followed by a thorough examination. It’s helpful if you can bring the results of any previous investigations with you, as well as a list of your current medications. Come with a comfortably full bladder so you can provide a urine sample if requested.
