About Anand Shah

Dr Anand Shah works in the host defence unit at the Royal Brompton hospital which is one of the largest bronchiectasis, non-tuberculous mycobacteria and fungal disease units in the world and also as a clinical lecturer at Imperial College London.

Dr Shah is actively involved in research within respiratory disease and has received a number of prestigious research awards and grants with ongoing active pioneering research and clinical trials particularly in the field of COVID-19, bronchiectasis and fungal lung disease. He has authored over 50 papers is an editor at a number of internationally renowned journals and chairs a number of international clinical research consortiums. He was also a member of the British Thoracic Society Strategic advisory group on respiratory infection (2018-2022) and specialist advisory group to the NICE COVID-19 rapid guideline committee.
